Hope On The…Who?
Hope On The Hoof is powered by people and horses who believe in the healing that happens when we meet each other with honesty, curiosity, and compassion.
Get to know the humans, the horses, and the hearts behind the work.
The Humans

Jacqueline Schimel, LMHC
She/Her
Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Eagala Certified
Jacqueline is a licensed mental health counselor with four years of experience in assisting individuals, families, and groups through various mental health issues. As a certified EAGALA practitioner, Jacqueline integrates equine-assisted psychotherapy into her practice, offering clients a unique, holistic approach to healing. She is passionate about supporting individuals through personal growth, emotional healing, self-awareness, development of coping skills, and more. She does this by creating a safe, non-judgmental space for self-exploration and transformation. With a deep commitment to professional ethics and client well-being, Jacqueline works collaboratively with clients to foster lasting change and growth.
Outside of the office, Jacqueline enjoys spending as much time outside with her partner, dogs, and horse. She also enjoys reading, crafting, and writing. Jacqueline values the importance of maintaining a balanced lifestyle and believes that personal self-care and connection to nature play a vital role in the healing process.
The “crazy-horse-girl” bug bit into Jacqueline’s soul at the unstoppable age of 7 and it has yet to fade. It has always been a dream to include horses in her everyday life.

Lyne Neymeyer
She/Her
Equine Specialist
Eagala Certified
After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in 2010, Lyne made a personal commitment to keep horses at the center of her life. A lifelong equestrian with over 50 years of riding experience, she redirected her focus toward serving others through horses.
Lyne began working with children and adults with special needs through Jester Park’s equine programs, where her natural connection with both people and horses stood out. Her background in graphic design gave her the ability to document meaningful experiences in people’s lives. Her photography not only captures powerful moments during equine sessions but also serves as a bridge into deeper engagement with the community.
In her current role, she supports the emotional wellness and skill-building of clients participating in our therapeutic sessions. Her experience, creative insight, and professional training allow her to build authentic, respectful relationships with participants. She strives to help others connect, grow, and heal through equine-assisted services.
The Horses
Our herd is made up of unique horses from Jester Park Equestrian Center, each with their own story, personality, and way of connecting. Some are playful and curious, while others are steady and calm, offering a quiet presence. Together, they create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore trust, boundaries, and authentic connection. Just like people, every horse brings something special to the herd—and to the healing journey.
